Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. She was born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut portraying Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she took home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress aged 11 years old, making the youngest recipient in Oscar history. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24 on the 24th of July in 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for Best Supporting Actress for playing the edgy and open daughter of Holly Hunter's main character in The Piano. After a public audition, at nine she changed her name to Flora McGrath - the daughter of the Scottish muffled pianist during the 19th century. Her family made the move from Scotland to New Zealand to marry an arrangement-based husband. When she was a teen she emigrated into the United States. Paquin played a minor role as the title character when she was in the midst of her childhood as part of Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) and played the lead role in the movie Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin was a part-time actress in the television movie of 1997 adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad which she was in, she played the Spanish queen as a minor character. She portrayed teenagers as teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) as well as A Walk on the Moon (1999) and portrayed the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
